All the way from Belgium
Our Italo/Belgo cousins wanted to bring some Cote D’Or chocolate. I requested instead chicory (1 kilo/2 Euros there, here 2 pieces 2 Euros), and the sweet Italian red/green tomatoes which we can’t get down here (and if found are usually well past their best).
The chicory was polished off in 4 days (salad, grilled and braised). I have one more tomato left for tomorrow. And no I didn’t share them. they were all for me.
Today’s lunch was a healthy sliced tomato drizzled with Puglian unfiltered olive oil and organic sea salt from the brilliant newish organic shop up by the Triangle.
