FRAZZLED FRIDAY

It's not even December and it's hectic!   The moon boot MrD and myself visited the dentist  together this morning and received the all clear.
We have our family lunch tomorrow - ham, chicken, plum pud, brandy custard and all the trimmings (and salad - not a hot vegetable to be seen).

I have been wanting to photograph these 'flowers' for blip and today was the day.  They are more a grass that are about 70cm tall and are shooting these  beautiful (to me anyhow) purple 'flowers' that are a small version of a bottle brush.  I embarked on a walk up the hill late this afternoon to capture them.  Yes, it was windy, I struggled with the blip today, although blurry, is the best of a bad bunch.  I do love the colours and you gain a feel of the breeze hitting the plant.  Unfortunately (again), I am unaware of the name of the plant.  They appear to have a short flowering season and without the flowers the plant isn't all that attractive.
