A day of contrasts

The day started with drizzle and wind, but we still managed a short swim at Millerground (see extra) even though there were waves on the water. Then as the sun came out Mr P and I walked along the river to Staveley, past flooded fields and high tide line after yesterday's deluge. The other extra shows the Tumbling Tom Big Band (i.e. with brass section) getting ready to play a ceilidh for the Newcastle University Institute of Health and Society at their conference in Kendal.
