A different kind of day!

After not being able to sail last evening on the Clipper due to strong winds (it's really rare that this vessel doesn't sail so must have been bad! ) we spent the night onboard in a cabin in our own harbour. We eventually sailed at 6 am to Jersey and then on to Portsmouth arriving at 6pm! We were 23 hours on the boat! The crossing was not too bad at all today and we made the most of taking some well deserved relaxation. We were going shopping in Southampton today but as this was not possible went to Gun Wharf Quays at Portsmouth arriving at 6.45pm and luckily the shops were open till 9. Their Christmas lights are lovely. We did a bit of Christmas shopping. Off to see the family tomorrow.
