Sun and snow
It is many years since I climbed this mountain, Ben Lawers, the highest in the southern Scottish Highlands.
It is 17 feet short of 4,000ft and during the Victorian era they were so keen to get it added to the magic group of mountains over 4,000ft in Scotland (less than ten) that they built a cairn on top of it but it was still too short and the Ordnance survey map ignored it because it was a man-made structure.
Today photo is taken from Sheriffmuir above
Dunblane where I was en route to a walk on the more sedate Dumyat.
Now for something completely different.
We did the samba this morning in dance class in our new venue- Blairlogie village hall. While this is a great little venue it is not conducive to photography.
Meanwhile here is a link to a Brazilian Rio Carnival with samba dancing.
