Ice suprise

If you are in or around Edinburgh between now and January, I 100% recommend the Ice Adventure on George Street.  It's a dark walkway chilled to a shivering -10C, lit with twinkling lights on Christmas trees.  I was not expecting such amazing workmanship - it was actually amazing, I've never seen anything like this before - what a change and welcome addition to the festivities around the city.  Ice sculptures with a Scottish theme, created with such detailed precision and there's something for everyone, from unicorns to fairies, hares, squirrels, historical characters, a castle, Nessie, bears, stags, horses, thistles...the list goes on.  Also an ice-bar at the end if you need a hot toddy or some mulled wine to warm you up.
