A Closer View Of The Brue

I got to the golf course this morning to discover that the heavy overnight rain had stopped play.

Instead, Tess & I made the most of the sun and fine light with a bike ride across the Levels and a blip from one of my favourite spots on the Brue, a couple of miles downstream from the bit of the river in yesterday's blip.

This afternoon we were doing a bit of C.......s shopping in Clarks Village when our son Chris phoned to let us know he had got the job he was interviewed for last week. It's still with Clarks but in a different section of the company, involved with store planning, so a new challenge (and a bit more money apparently).

He (and we) were delighted as, although he was very grateful to be found another role in the firm a few months back when his old job was made redundant, it was a job he had done a few years previously and he was keen to try something new and widen his experience so he's very excited to get this one.
