The Best Of Both Worlds

After a 'waiting game , the sun shone today. ' Sunset was beautiful but the gorgeous rose coloured  sky looking easterly straight down Kaiserdamm & Bismarckstraße had to be (see extra ). On coming into the flat  which faces south I saw the moon moving to the west. Hence my blip for today....Details below.
 "A Waxing Crescent which is the first Phase after the New Moon and a good time to see the features of the moon's surface..The moon is close to the sun in the sky and mostly dark except for the right edge which becomes brighter as the days get closer to the next phase which is a First Quarter with a 50% illumination."
