Birthday Walk?

We aimed low today, as the weather was wet!! So we walked from our hotel along the coffin route to Rydal Mount. I took my other half to this famous spot as he'd never seen Rydal Waterfall and Grot before.

We then continued our route back along Rydal Water and Grasmere lake. After getting out of all our wet gear, we headed back into Grasmere village for lunch.

We then chilled out in the hotel for the rest of the afternoon. My birthday was finished with a meal and Prosecco in the hotel.

Not a bad way to spend your special day.
