Day before Thanksgiving blessings

I'm hoping to have photos of Nora's first Thanksgiving to post tomorrow, so I'll post a day before Thanksgiving greeting today.

There is much to be thankful for during these turbulent times, the peace of hearth, home and health that surrounds us is a true blessing here at Dogcorner. We wish to same for all reading this, celebrating tomorrow or not. x

For the Record,
This day came in dark and rainy, a nasty day for those who have far to travel in New England.

All hands looking forward to spending time with family tomorrow.

On this day, 54 years ago, President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. I was a couple months over 14 and a half and I think my idyllic childhood ended that day. The end of Candy Land( word play on a childhood game). Kennedy was a native son of Massachusetts, I'd seen him in person as he exited a church service on Cape Cod. My dad took some great photos that day. Our family visited Washington D.C and the White House(we saw John John being wheeled in his carriage on the grounds as we waited to enter) when I was just13 on an April school vacation. I will never forget that terrible dark day,  the shock of the assassination announced over the intercom at school. My mother in tears in our driveway as I stepped off the bus. The horrible tear stained weekend, glued to the old black and white Philco TV , and that sad Thanksgiving when America mourned together.
