Another pink blip for Breast Cancer Awareness Month-----
Our daughter Kate has been living in Bangalore for five months. She is a textile designer and has been travelling around India, collecting beautiful textiles on her way.
This is an example of embroidery on a piece that she has sent home. It is part of a beautiful patchwork that is constructed from vintage materials, all richly embellished with stitch, sequins, mirrors, metal threads and applique. The ladies who sew these so beautifully must have infinite patience, amazing eyesight and such creative talents.
There is also a large bag in the cellar which we have promised not to open until she returns in November!
