Solace Day 7
By mid afternoon we aimed to be back in the marina, this would allow time for the filling of the water tank, fuel, toilet pump out and a bit of a tidy etc before the valeting tomorrow.
We had carefully chosen our mooring to be opposite the rebar perch somebody had erected in the field opposite. We knew from our October trip that it was well used by a Kingfisher. So first light found 4 of the windows on the boat with their lift out glass removed and 4 photographers pointing their lenses across the canal.
The observant among you will have noticed my blip is not a Kingfisher! This is because some doddering old fool was shooting at 130 mm rather than 300 mm.
I decided to use a kingfisher as an extra and post my first Buzzard in flight blip. Not terribly brilliant but I was using a high ISO and working on a moving and vibrating boat.
