Not desposable

I was cleaning up recently and came across my winter mitts. When I was out last winter my ice axe caught the mitt and ripped it.

Anyway I have had these mitts for 20 years and well they are worn in and are great. I like them so decided to repair them.

Eco knitter popped down last night with some wool that I could darn the hole.
After an inspection, she said it was too clean a cut so had to do ziz zag stitches and then created loops to bridge over the rip. Once that was finished ,I went round and patched all the wee holes probably caused by carrying my ice axe in my righthand. Thanks for your help Eco knitter.

Buy another if you wish, repair if you dare....

Wonderful to see the large snowflakes fall on Edinburgh today, pity it did not last.
