Out of the Darkness Community Walk
The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention held this community walk on Sunday, October 7, 2012, to raise funds for research and educational programs aimed at increasing awareness, understanding, and prevention of suicide.
Suicide claims more than 38,000 lives a year. Every 14.2 minutes, a person dies by suicide. And every single minute of the day, a person attempts suicide. It is the 10th leading cause of death in the U.S.
I lost a 38 year old sister to suicide and came dangerously close to it myself in the past.
Please, consider a contribution to this worthy cause.
