Shattered

We had a lovely evening with Jenny in Fife but had to be up at 3.30 am. She kindly drove us over the New Forth Bridge to the airport - originally she and I had been going on this trip so we’d got tickets to suit. However she realised she couldn’t leave her husband for so long after his dementia diagnosis, so Mr C took her place.

We flew to Gatwick and transferred to an 11.5 hour BA flight. #2 daughter had asked a friend, a BA Captain, to try to get us upgraded but the flight was full so no luck with that. We took our accustomed place in cattle class. The food was the worst i’ve Had on any airline - pasta and pesto main with a side dish of another pasta. No fruit or veg. The second meal was another pasta and a cake.

We arrived in the dark and it was pouring. I’m sure it only rains in the dark. After being awake almost 24 hours I thought this was an appropriate Blip.
