Mono Monday 200

The picnic season is over,
most tables have been put away.
The cranes are hitting the cornfields,
and watering at the bay.

A dip down into Byram Lake,
to get water in their mouth.
Important to stay hydrated,
for soon they'll be heading South.

I don't play Mono Monday much because I like color, but it is the 200th anniversary today. The subject was Festive, and this is far from Festive...but I liked it anyway.
