Henton Chapel
We went to the Chiltern Open Air museum today so Matthew could inspect the bell on one of the buildings there, to get details to add to his book. The museum is closed for the Winter now but they allowed us to visit and it was a perfect day for it. We were made very welcome and even got to see some of the behind the scenes stuff, not to mention the Heavy horses!
This Chapel is from Henton, a small village about 5 miles from home, just over the border in Oxfordshire. A friend of mine used to live in Henton and knew the chapel before it was removed to the museum. It was in a very sorry state and has been restored to it's former glory. Another friend of ours, who also volunteers at the museum, has very close connections with it to as his father was Christened there.
After yesterday's murky day it was wonderful to see and feel the warmth of the sun!
