Night rocket launch - lift off! Priceless!!

My family and I went out to the beach to see a rocket launch at 8:34 p.m. It launched from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, here in Florida.

The "Dragon" spacecraft is one of the first of 12 contracted flights by Space X to resupply the space station. The Dragon will return about 734 pounds of scientific materials, including results from human research, biotechnology, materials and educational experiments, as well as about 504 pounds of space station hardware.

Cargo on board the Dragon will support experiments in plant cell biology, human biotechnology and various materials technology demonstrations, among others. In addition , it transported food to include dry frozen ice cream for the crew currently on the Space Station.

It was another awesome site to see; too bad I couldn't capture it to well.
