The second warship to bear the name, the Canadian frigate HMCS 'Montréal' lies at the quayside of Western Harbour, reprovisioning at Leith Docks.

Deployed as part of the Royal Canadian Navy's NEPTUNE TRIDENT exercise as well as NATO's FORMIDABLE SHIELD, the ship is participating in JOINT WARRIOR 17-2, a United Kingdom-led multinational exercise that will involve over 22 warships.
