A change of plan

Today, I was determined to get a brilliant blip: perhaps a dramatic wildlife shot (maybe, even a kill); an inspired, creative shot that will amaze some fotoblippers or perhaps a fortuitous image which I happen to be able to capture because I am the only person to be there at the right time.

But no! A change of plan! During a brief break in the clouds, I saw this half rotted log dumped on the side of the road, which, I thought had nice textures and the early spring sunshine affected the scene quite subtly.

The naivety of the shot even adds to the picture?s quality (I think).
