Century Egg

I've heard about these for ages but I don't think I ever saw one before today. Century Eggs are one of the countless Chinese ideas that perhaps only Chinese people fully appreciate. I was not pleased or displeased by its taste, but it hardly had any taste. It had a funky smell that lasted a few seconds after I peeled it, but it certainly looked interesting.

My verdict: All the qualities of century eggs are intellectual. Even so, I have no particular wish to investigate further by eating another. If this were a novelist I'd call it a "one hit wonder."

There you have it. I came all the way to Wales to finally try this Chinese specialty.
