An ordinary life....

Large if you like :)

I think this is one of my favourite weeds. Yes, I do actually have favourite weeds. Infact I know more weeds than I do plants, mainly because every garden we've ever had (apart from now) has had more weeds than plants!

Interesting day. Started going through the contents of our old loft. Lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of boxes and bags. To our credit we have actually been quite ruthless with two full car loads to the tip and 8 large bin bags and a few boxes of Alan's baby/toddler clothes and toys ready to go to the charity shop.

There's one huge bag of knitted baby clothes all knitted by my mum. Little matinee jackets, hats, mittens, bootees.....I don't have the heart to part with them yet so they will be washed and re-wrapped in tissue and stored safely again.

A big surprise was discovering that my wedding dress, which I expected to be ruined as it had been stored in plastic, is absolutely fine! Had a wee tear in my eye when I shook it out and saw it for the first time in over 20 years! Not a hope in hell of it fitting me now!!

Other exciting finds were my school report cards, books awarded to my mum as Dux at her school prizegiving in 1955, teenage correspondence between me and some friends, and birthday, valentines and christmas cards exchanged by D and I from before we were married and anniversary cards from our early married life Now they just go in the bin after being on display for a week!

There are still boxes and bags to tackle but we've done enough for today. I'm sure there's some blippable stuff in amongst it all!

Hope to have a bit of a blip catch up before bed but I'm tired and dusty so can't promise much.

Happy Sunday Peeps :))
