Compost

Mr Tex bought me this composter years ago, but I've been quite unsuccessful in actually getting compost despite all my efforts. This year though, I sat down and read all about composting and then I moved it over to start fresh, and layered it with the abundance of compostable ingredients I have here. Here is my cart full of cow patties collected from the field, and a pile of nice, fine dirt and sheep pellets from the sheep pen, and a pile of dry leaves and grass. I was going to use the dirty hay too but I had so much dry stuff I didn't have room.
One week on, I just turned it and could feel the heat coming out of the center . I am so excited that it's working! :)
