Last rose of summer?

Certainly it has lasted well!

A very cold and dampish day, although not raining here.  The HG was off on a club recce.  I was up and about early, tidying, making soup, cleaning toilets, you know the routine.  Then I headed to the town centre as I was a lady who lunches with some friends today.

Had a lovely lunch and chat, then a bit of shopping, and home.  I saw this rose in a garden close to home, and was surprised to see it looking so fresh at this time of year.

The HG came in later, starving, and was very appreciative of some home made soup and some dinner.
