Exploring Glasgow

For various reasons I have a day in Glasgow before I start the West Highland Way tomorrow. All the years i've lived in Scotland and i've never been into the city or explored before so today I got the bus from the airport hotel into the city centre and set about exploring.

Today's Blip is The Horseshoe bar - Mr. WP asked me  to go and see if it was still there - apparently he used to hang out there many moons ago when they did cheap beer and pies. Anyway, thanks to googlemaps I found my way to it and took a photo for him.

The people seem friendly and I sat outside at a cafe to have coffee and a random bloke came up to me and asked if i'd mind his dog while he went in to get his coffee, which i did happily. Dog behaved and the owner was soon back out with his coffee and a treat for the dog. Lots of people came over to make a fuss of the dog.

At around 2.30pm I started to get a bit "oh my goodness, so many people!" i'd had enough of crowds and cities and traffic so got the bus back to the hotel.

Rucksack is packed ready for tomorrow. An early night for me.
