Mealagh Valley

Today I joined a walking group in the Mealagh Valley. We climbed up Mullaghmeesha and walked on through woods and followed a track or two... My feet are a little sore; the walking boots would have needed to come way up my ankles to keep my feet dry, but I feel energised by the walk. Dropping down from the mountain onto the tarred road this fence post seemed to be supporting a small garden of lichen and a bilberry bush. I thought it looked a little like a birthday cake!
