Welgar Well 'Ard

I got a last minute request from Sue at Project Phoenix for help at the Welwyn Garden City Christmas Lights Turn On. She has been out of the country so I filled her in about how the function has made the national news. A star from the cult TV series Love Island had been booked to turn the lights on but local people weren't happy about it and she was asked to withdraw.

It was a very well attended event and lots of people agreed to sign the petition to reopen Panshanger Aerodrome. I saw a group of lads cowering under a gazebo, told them about the aerodrome and that fired them up to make a vid of Sue telling the Panshanger story.

We managed to fix our banner up at the start of proceedings but couldn't reach the cable ties to remove it at the end. It's great when a kind, smiling, hard lad comes to one's rescue. I think that's Alex from Clockwork Orange on his arm.
