Knackered

An absolutely exhausting day…..

We went to Darlington, an hour’s drive away, to see mother in law. Set off at 9 a.m. to meet with the social worker to discuss MIL’s care package. After that I cooked a lunch for us all, and we did the laundry and housework for her too.

After lunch we dropped her at hospital for her speech therapy, (another half hour drive) and whilst she was there we went to do her shopping and we also grabbed the chance to take Finlay for a quick walk in Bishop Auckland.

Back home we finished the laundry and ironing, made her some tea to eat later and set about completing some paperwork for payment for her care and her blue badge application.

We finally got home at 7 p.m., cold beer and a sandwich for tea. Finlay is exhausted too, as he has been ‘awake’ all day.

I did grab a shot of some pretty yellow leaves in the park whilst we were there with the dog.
