Tui on Tippytoes

A quick shot through my bedroom window  to capture the tui stretched up tall trying to reach the flax flowers higher up the stalk. By the look of the pollen on his beak, he has been successful.

I visited the Surgeon today to talk about my options, as the surgery on my spine has failed. I have two choices - one to continue as I am,  managing it and the other choice is to have further surgery with some more paring back the bone, fusion of affected areas and a bone graft - a much bigger operation than last time.

 I asked the surgeon if it was his mother, what would he choose. He said  he would advise her to just to manage it and not  have  surgery.


So, that is what I will do.
