Malham Cove

Today we walked to Malham Cove which is the large amphitheatre of rock in the distance. I chose this shot as it shows the beautiful stone walls for which the Dales are famous.

We then climbed the stone steps (extra photo) with many stops for breath! At the top we came to the limestone pavement. There’s another extra photo of me on the pavement enjoying the view. It was very slippery to walk on after the rain so we went back the same way rather than risk an accident!

The other extras are of a green woodpecker by the Cove and a roe deer by Malham Tarn that we visited this afternoon.
