India of Inchinnan

after use in WW1 by Wm Beardmore's to build giant airships like the famous R34 which crossed the Atlantic, India Tyres took over the factory for manufacturing and had built this Art Deco office block in 1930. Though left to rot by India in 1980 this was restored by 2003 by a successful technology firm who created a stylish rear to commemorate the airship history see the west wing in xtra. This is said to be the only A listed building in Scotland still in full commercial use. The R34 Restaurant which caters for staff is open to the public, and we love to eat the canteen style food in this architectural masterpiece
