The Van and the Vin

We are parked in the vines again tonight, at a France Passion vineyard stop at Monbazillac, near Bergerac. Wine tasting is at 6pm.

We were sorry to leave Monpazier as it was a perfect little town and so peaceful. We would happily return.

Had the slightly weird experience of going it to the Boulangerie this morning to hear "I didn't know you were still here". Frankly, we looked blank for a while but it was the Dutch couple who had been on the campsite with us earlier this week. When we met previously they had been well wrapped against the elements and without their hats etc we failed to recognise them on this brilliantly sunny morning.

The day has continued with bright sunshine and after we had parked up at the vineyard we went to explore the village and found a 6km circular walk around it... which is how I came by this shot.

Another nice peaceful village, Monbazillac is, I think, the most affluent-looking village that we have visited. There is a lack of run down property or houses for sale, which is a shame for us as we could quite fancy a base here. There is plenty of evidence of recent investment so the place is clearly thriving.
