Wet skirts

The flower fairies got their skirts wet today. 

After the heat of the past couple of days, the 12mm or so of rain we got today was very welcome.

These flowers (evening primroses by the way) remind me so much of the skirts in the late 50s/early 60s.  Very full skirts with nipped in waists.  I always thought that style to be very elegant.  Of course in those days I had the figure to suit it, tall and slim and a very small waist.

Long gone, alas.
