At The Vet

We took Ripley to the vet earlier this evening for a check up and evaluation.

They put a 'happy kitty' pheromone towel over her and she was quite relaxed throughout.

Her kidney disease remains an issue and has likely worsened some. I told the vet to not even bother with a blood test because I don't really want to know how much more advanced it's become. At least by the numbers, in some ways it doesn't matter because we are not going to be doing anything differently anyway. 

She has lost another two pounds and that's a concern but not a huge surprise as that goes along with her other symptoms such as excessive thirst and occasional vomiting.

It's mostly a quality of life situation and at this point there is a lot of kitty left in there and her alertness and activity level is right up there.

Ripley is a sweet, gentle soul but with the heart and spirit of a warrior. She has been through a lot in life but endures all with no complaints or loss of love for her family.

Our hope is we still have lots of time left with her and that just might be...
