Nothing to grouse about

Did some washing and hoovering this morning then hubby and I headed out after lunch for a walk although we were both going in opposite directions!

I dropped him off so that he could walk through some woodland in search of deer whilst I walked up a long track up to the top of the hill were there are some telecommunication masts and a great view!

Took lots of pics and as I was heading back down hill again I spotted this grouse in the heather. The picture was taken at the max of my zoom and then cropped so the quality is not great but grouse are so rare to see I thought it was worth a blip!
