The Little Guy....

This little Boxwood was purchased the same day as the one I posted yesterday.   While the other plant thrived last summer, this one has not.  You can see a grayish, round scar on the left of the middle of the trunk.  There was a branch there, but it was thick and heavy, with absolutely no taper to, at all.  I called it an aardvark, hanging out there, so I took my side cutters and cut it off, then covered the wound with a paste that turned gray (aids with healing )  
    Then, with further inspection, You will notice on the outside branch, about 1/2 way up on the right, you will see another paste mark, covering an area where a branch was cut.    It was another case of to little taper.
