Bag packed, then off to pick up Iain from work before heading through to Glasgow and the hotel for the night, before my op in the morning.

The journey through turned into a long, slow crawl across country.

We ended up buying a sandwich for dinner at a petrol station on our way.

Eventually we arrived, checked in, FaceTimed my brother and his wife, then ate our sarnies while watching CSI (Iain’s go to tv show if we’re at a hotel!).
