Kolkata - Day 3

Our third day in Kolkata saw another early start as we headed to the flower market. This is located by the Hooghly river close to the Howrah bridge.

Here, apart from the flower market, there were people bathing in the river (it is a tributary of the Ganges), temples, plus all of the other activities that go on around any market.

After brunch back at the hotel, we headed out around the local area again. It was relatively quiet, and after watching a street barber at work (see 10/11/2017 ), both Mark Seymour, the course leader and I had hair cuts and shaves, at the cost of 100 Rupees each.

By this time the light was fading so we had a little fun practicing panning shots before heading back to the hotel.
