Our table runneth over!

In a couple weeks, this table will be filled with turkey, gravy, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes and various other yummy dishes for Thanksgiving day dinner. I will be thankful for that food and for the family that gathers around, but today I am very thankful for another reason. My table is runneth over with toothbrushes, coloring books, stuffed animals, balls, games, baby dolls, school supplies and more for Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes. After drawing and writing cards to insert into the boxes, my Granddaughter, Moira, and I started to assemble the shoeboxes. I let Moira make all the decisions on what to put in the boxes for each child. She was very thoughtful about what went in. We prayed that God would guide her hands to make each box very special for the children. Tomorrow we will finish packing them, pay for the shipping and deliver them to our church for dedication on Sunday. I am thankful that Moira Is learning that it’s more blessed to give than to receive.
