Murmuration

To celebrate my first day of release! We went to Orton to meet my friend Jane. We had a quick snack at the chocolate factory (of course!) and then headed up to the Sunbiggin starling murmuration. They are in fine form this year, swooping and swirling in enormous numbers before descending in a vast twittering mass into a small conifer plantation. We saw the disgruntled landowner stomping about complaining about his pheasants! But the starlings ignored him, as did we.
It was a truly remarkable spectacle and all for free!
