We will remember

We attended the Remembrance Service today, it felt very strange not to be in the Church ringing the bells half muffled, it is such a fitting sound.

The Church is being re-ordered and is closed until Easter 2018 so today's service was held in the Village Hall.

The Hall was packed, it was great to see so many Cubs and Scouts.  One brave Scout play the reveille on his trumpet both in the hall at at the War Memorial.  The service was taken by Estelle, one of our lay readers, it was  the fist time doing the Remembrance service for her and she handled in beautifully.

Once again it was lovely to be there with family, the picture is of my Youngest nephew, Toby, laying the wreath for the Scouts.  He also read a piece he had written (with help from Dad) about what the poppy meant to him.  Proud Auntie moment!
