Nothing happens here...

A cut above...

I use Evergreen plastic because it is precision cut and reliable.  Imagine my horror last week when I found my mail order supplier had put his prices up by 60%!

I went out today to see what there was on the shelves of local model shops.  On the way over to North West Durham the temperature dropped to 3c and it started to snow.  I should have known it was an omen.  I found one shop still selling the odd sizes at £3.10 a pack but he advised the new supply would be around £5.15 a pack.  I topped up with some even though I probably won't use much.  The main supplier has blamed exchange rates/brexit/oil prices and the phasing of Jupiter and Venus.  In other words, 'the manufacturer has put the price  'because they can'.

We returned via a new Lidl store.  I wish we hadn't, MrsDB suggested I might like to buy some chocolate and goodies - of course I would - so I loaded them in the basket amongst another supply of Christmas cake mix stuff.

At the checkout MrsDB told me she'd not brought her card and could I lend her the cash.  I can kiss that loan goodbye.  I may have to get a part time job just to make ends meet.
