Edie
A very icy start to the morning. Hundreds of geese filled the sky in the distance with a few flying over head. I was hoping to get out early but we did'nt get going until gone 10.30 which meant we had to go straight to Eden Court. It was lovely and sunny and lots of snow on the mountains so it did feel a shame to be watching a film inside in the dark, however it was worth it. It was the Inverness film festival and we saw a film called 'Edie' not out until April next year and this was one of the first showings. A great film set in Lochinver about a lady in her 80's who is determined to climb the unusual shaped mountain of Suilven. I wo nt tell you if she made it or not but Shelia Hancock who played the part really put her heart and sole into it. At the age of 83 she trained everyday in the gym, took up Nordic walking so she would be fit enough for the role. Some fantastic scenery , some light hearted moments and some parts that were emotional. There was a talk afterward with Producer Mark Stothert. Very interesting and it was great to hear the behind scene story and how the team had enjoyed Lochinver pies ( it's famous for it's pies) on the last day of the shoot with a large number of pies being helicoptered up the mountain :)https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=F3hsNgReOlM
A quick walk in Whinn Park , a meal in the Beefeater and then Brownie Shopping in Tesco afterwards :)
