Taped up

I researched this old tape shop as it's been derelict for years and guessed it had some sort of cult status among Cambridge residents. It definitely seems like it did a roaring trade in the 1990s, but the bloke who used to run it now works the checkout at Tesco. It's surprising the shop has persisted in this state as with the city's property bubble, investment opportunities are not often passed over.

Bananablip and sakalasafari continued to be the greatest visitors ever, as when I dragged myself dazed from my pit they'd already cleaned up all of last night's mess, gathered the recycling and done the dishes. Bananablip then swept the floor while sakalasafari ironed my shirt for work tomorrow. They are wonderful.

Cold is an apt theme of the day, from the streaming nose, to the hands when I forgot my gloves, to the biting wind. And to the ice cream that I braved the evening temperatures to buy, as comfort food for the constant nose blowing. Some may advise hot lemon and oranges but my idea was Night Nurse + Oreo ice cream. The shop didn't have any Night Nurse. So it was principally ice cream.
