Winter EB
I missed the early sunshine and the day has been pretty grey and often wet since. Darkness overtook me so this is a Winter Emergency Blip, a what-can-I-find-outside-in-the-dark-and-the-rain blip!
So here, feet from the back door, is Clematis cirrhosa, raised many years ago form seed collected by a friend in Spain. Often seen in cultivation in the form of cultivar, 'Freckles' which has many dark reddish bronze markings, this form is more typical of wild plants in being uniformly pale in colour. Not showy, but welcome interest at a very quiet time of year in the garden.
Jamie's latest sickness meds seem to be more effective. Got everything crossed that he can build on a better day today. Chloe could not make it after losing her voice overnight but we'll see her another day.
