More sunbeams on Hoy (Day 919)

Coffee was definitely required after a cold wander up the hill with the dogs this morning. The north wind is carrying a real chill with it at the moment.
As  my beautiful wife headed off hossing, I headed to the shed and did a bit of fine tuning of the carving I started yesterday. I managed an hour or so before my fingers were just too cold to do much more and called the carving finished.
After lunch with HV, we headed to Stromness where we popped in to see Emmy to drop off the carving - a memorial for her cat. She seemed pleased and surprised in equal measure, having not known I was doing the carving.
From Emmy's we headed to the shore where we watched sunbeams dance along the top of Hoy and had a reasonably good walk despite the bitterly cold wind. We counted ourselves lucky that we missed the rain which arrived just after we got back to the car.
