Lunch
Our friends Liz and Genny came visiting. I'd prepared part of the lunch yesterday, Butternut Squash and Chickpea Roast, so this morning it was a matter of cooking an aubergine and black eyed bean chilli and baby roast potatoes with garlic to go with it. Ann made a delicious apple pudding for afters.
Liz brought the wine so we were all set for a good lunch and a lovely afternoon.
Due to eating, chatting and generally enjoying ourselves I didn't get around to taking any photos. So as we cleared later I took a quick snap of the remaining potatoes, to be scoffed by Tom with the leftover roast for his tea, the chilli was finished off by the four of us at lunch.
To make up for lack of intellectually stimulating photo (when are they ever!?) I've included a picture from yesterday in the extras. This large 3D installation that looks like a nun with a supermarket trolley is actually based on Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew. It is on display in the room we had the talk last night.
