Auntie Jill has worn me out!
As we said yesterday; Ann's sister, Jill, has been staying with us this weekend. Jill is super fit! Jill cycles hundreds of miles a week. Ann does not cycle hundreds of miles a week. Ann probably hasn't even been on a bike since the mid 1970s?! Ann's exercise regime consists of taking me on my walks and lifting her right arm to drink her glass of wine. Lol. However, for those of you who read our Blips regularly, you will also know that Ann has been doing the 'Swim the English Channel Challenge'.
Auntie Jill was well impressed with all the swimming that Ann has been doing recently. ..................Well she's pretending to be impressed. Lol! For someone who cycles 4000 miles a year, swimming a few lengths of the local pool isn't really that impressive is it???
For anyone who is interested............................. Ann finished the 'Swim the English Channel Challenge' on Thursday. Thank you sooo much to our 'Blip friends' who have donated to our 'Just Giving' page. If anyone else wants to donate, please just click on this ''Just Giving' link. Ann was super speedy and completed the challenge in 6 weeks instead of 12 so now she's set herself her own little challenge. …...............Swimming home in time for Christmas????
Ann has 1548 lengths of the local pool to swim, so this morning, after my morning walk, Ann & Jill went off for a swim. Ann swam 48 lengths in the time that it took Jill to swim 60??!! Jill wears googles & does front crawl. Ann keeps her head out of the water and does her own version of breast stroke. Not sure if Ann is going to be able to complete this challenge due to work commitments, collie dog walking commitments, socialising commitments and just general logistics of when the swimming pool is open for public swimming??? Guess that's the whole point of a challenge? Lol!
Anyway........................... to get back to why I'm so tired (see extras)........................ I had a little half hour trek around the streets first thing, and then when Ann & Jill came back from swimming; Jill wanted to go down to the canal to check out the trendy houseboats and new flats, so I got another hour long walk. And then as it was such a lovely day, this afternoon I got to go running around in Hermitage of Braid.
Totally exhausted now. And so is Ann.
