Swan Family Re-united
My blip of 6 days ago has proved a bit premature as the cygnets are back with their parents on Seafield Pond. I had a wee suspicion that I might be wrong about this as I vaguely remember reading something on the net about how long cygnets stay with their parents. I've just checked again and see that they may remain with a flock for up to four years. It's nice to see that one of the bigger cygnets (male, I presume) has now taken on the adult role of warning off possible predators, in this case our puppy, Megan who is still very wary of hissing swans.
