My Old Toy

I bought this engine with my birthday money on my thirteenth birthday 16-11-1974. I needed a subject to practice flash lighting on.

I have been asked by my wife to do a family photo shoot for Christmas (way outside my comfort zone) so I have found all my flash gear that I bought when I first started photography thinking I would do portraiture.

Had to try it out to see if I could still remember how to set it up and get it to work. I think I managed it. 

Now for the big day with the three grandchildren, a few days practice first I think.
